This blog hopes to inform, entertain and, very occasionally, amuse on the subject of Watford Football Club and my support for them.
It is nothing more than one blokes opinion and doesn't seek to be anything other than that. It oftens contains bad spelling, grammar and punctuation (or none at all) and, at best, could be kindly described as randomised waffle.
Please do not assume you are going to get accurate match reports or accurate anything, even though one of the tags specifically says 'match reports'. If you are after such things then go here, here or here.
Thanks if you've made it this far. And many more thanks if you bother to read any further. hb
Despite being born next door to the Vic it took me 8 years to see Watford play for the first time. On the 24th April 1982 I saw us beat Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 and from that day on I've been hooked. For 14 of the last 27 years I've been a season ticket holder in the Rous or West Stand which it replaced. The best game I've ever seen us play was when we beat Arsenal 3-1 in the FA Cup Quarter Final in 1987. My all time favourite players are Luther, Tony Coton and Tommy Mooney. GT is an uber legend and if you don't know who he is this probably isn't the blog for you.
I spent many years working in the media industry trying to spread the word about Watford FC. My biggest success was playing the part of producer Bob on LBC's Clive Bull Show where I regularly mentioned the Horns. I gave up media work a couple of years back partly as it often meant I couldn't see us play on a Tuesday night.
